Pros

Strong company and continues to grow. Flexible with your hours as long as your hours are put in and the work is done.

Cons

Too much push on unrealistic productivity standards. Expectations to obtain highest RUG levels on patients who are not always appropriate. These expectations force staff to see pts for allotted minutes which blur the fraudulent lines. When verbalizing concerns, money trumps professional opinions. Made to feel like unappreciated trained monkeys working on an assembly line....the patients are the product. Nothing is ever good enough. Scheduling is always a problem. Every minute of your day has patients scheduled. If one pt is unable to attend therapy at scheduled time, then there is a domino effect (happens everyday). The schedule gets rearranged constantly (because we cant miss the day) and pts, family members, staff and therapists get frustrated. Upper management doesn't seem to have empathy for the dynamics involved in the field. If it looks good on paper then it should work in the field. Documentation is ridiculous. "Texting" notes on a IPOD for every pt, everyday, while completing treatments ("point of service") is unfeasible and looks completely unprofessional to the patients and their families. Not enough computers for staff and are forced to use IPODs which is actually slower and less efficient. Constant IT problems which takes time to fix and is not productive billing. Merit raises have been put on hold for years, returned for 1 year at (1-2 %) and placed back on hold...but cost of living goes up at least 4% every year. Hard work, quality of treatment and outcomes doesn't matter anymore. As long as you put down the numbers they want to see then you are a great therapist. Not a lot of room for professional growth. Unfortunately, the fulcrum has strongly shifted from Quality of care to Quantity of care.

Pros

Flexible schedule, nice coworkers, nice office space

Cons

Horrendously overworked. They kept promising help that never arrived. I felt terrible having to let certain tasks fall by the wayside because I was always drowning. I was afraid to take a day off and worked through illnesses, making it harder to recover. Administrator didnt care.
