Pros
A market leader that's not content to rest on its laurels, but is constantly innovating. Combines the fast moving, forward looking mentality of a startup with the huge R&D resources that 1.4 billion in revenue can buy.
Compensation is competetive, if not spectacular. Company culture is highly technocratic -- very little bureaucratic/political BS. My current project was prototyped by the SVP. Lot's of room to advance on a purely technical track, high-level technical staff have grade levels equivalent to Director/VP.
Open time off - no reasonable vacationrequest refused :)
Diverse, modern development environment. In my first year I've done projects using Java, Python, C++, Node.JS.
Cons
Somewhat sprawling product suite accumulated over many acquisitions, not always integrated in a seamless fashion. Steep learning curve in some areas.
