Great people that care about co-workers; culture of working hard, but understanding the balance of taking time for family and personal -- even in the middle of a work day. People step up to help each other. Company is doing well and business is very stable. Tony, our relatively new CEO, has been instrumental in bringing in a fresh approach and is driving us to the next level. He shared a very personal story with employees not too long ago; this level of sharing showed us the human side -- Tony runs a business and has to make tough decisions, but underneath there is empathy. This fuels our culture of support and respect for co-workers.
Cons
New leadership in Sales, Marketing, Finance, HR -- with downstream impact to existing orgs. This has been stressful for many teams. Merits and promotions capped/canceled this year to prep for the impact of COVID-19; employees understood this and braced to help (no one wanted a RIF or pay cut); many worked crazy, long hours to protect the company. After weathering this, some merits were reinstated, but at a lower scale. Then to see small pockets of layoffs and new hires come in at high salaries and positions...morale killer.
