Pros
Genesys is a great company to work for if you're interested in software sales. They're THE market-leader in the CCaaS space and you'll have the opportunity to sell one of the most comprehensive software platforms in our vertical. The culture is positive and welcoming, executive leadership is transparent and communicative, and the trajectory of this space over the coming years is massive. From a DEI perspective, Genesys has rolled out many initiatives and is taking sustainability and equity very seriously. This is something I deeeply appreciated as an employee. My managers were flexible, knowledgeable, and everyone's always ready to lend a helping hand. A great career for anyone in sales, whether you're starting out or a senior enterprise AE.
Cons
Like with many companies these days, the sheer number of tools, resources and processes you need to access can be a bit tedious to navigate. But I'd rather have too many resources than too few. We're in a near-constant state of growth and investment in broadening our market capture and that comes with new things to learn all the time, which, again, can be a bit tedious to add to an already-packed schedule. The only true con I'll say is that the ongoing learning and coaching from a pure sales perspective could use a lot of work. As an AE, after you get into the swing of things, you're largely left to your own devices. There is very little in the way of true coaching to be a better AE, at least in my experience.
