They have a group of smart and capable people. The prevailing culture is that of a collaborative one. People tend to like each other and work well together
Cons
Many employees are laid off on the hush hush and you just find out that someone is gone one day. The inner circle of management knows that while people like each other on a personal level, the execution on the work end is poor. Cross functional projects tend to fizzle out with little to no impact. Ambitious goals are not met. Compensation is a big problem area - punchline is that it's low. Should come as no surprise since this is a PE owned company. The typical Silicon Valley company offers some form of RSU but here there's only modest equity for higher level management. So their hope to draw talent is only through cultural sell and remote-work capable.
