Pros

There are some good regular people that work there, that just want a career and stability. Unfortunately, see the cons below as to why that is not likely to be your experience.

This account in Richardson Texas is HUGE. Most of the people in upper management positions are from another country; 8 out of the 9 key positions. All of the training material videos are taught by people from that "other" country as well; all the mentors in the videos have strong accents, which makes it difficult to understand the lesson they are teaching. If you find yourself employed here in a management position, and you are not from this "other country", the important thing to remember is to not mention "the elephant in the room" on any issue. Let the "other" country managers set the path, just go along with their narrative. There is no "free" and "open" discussion in the management they make you fell that they want your opinion, participation, but in reality it's just keeping up appearances, optics, that you have a say in things. If you are too outspoken, or don't always follow the lead of the "other" country leaders, that could possibly be held against you at the end of each year when we go into management review sessions, where you will be ranked, and your future with the company is determined. This place is very political, and as I said, is wrought with nepotism. It does not matter one bit if your performance ranking is strong, there is a sub-agenda going on behind your back, you are not "one of them". This is a box checking company, it's about the optics of everything, they pass themselves off as diverse, that say "we are not an attrition company, we are a career company", and that is not what they stand for at all; the attrition rate is epic on this contract. Part of the company's slogan, the bedrock of their core, is INTEGRITY, and that they have a no RETRIBUTION policy. Neither one of these are true. Again, it's about optics. Do know, if you point out a failure by any one of leaderships people, from "their country", the saying at the office is, "you go after one, they all come after you". You see pics on FB that leadership posts, at each others BBQ's, birthday parties, etc. Managers and upper managers that they report to are all in the pictures at the parties, but there are no employees at the party that are not from their country, like me, or some of my peers. Fireside chats with your boss in a private setting is awesome, it's a good thing, however, best practice says that "the boss" must offer all direct reports to him/her the same options to attend, not just the ones that share the same culture, from the same country as the boss. Many of these leaders have known each other for decades, and basically play tag; when one gets their feet in the door of a contract with Genpact, they will start filling key positions with their people, many of which in this case, have to go through a visa process, taking months to get here and take a position that could be filled by local talent. This is the pattern, and every manager who is not from their country/culture knows it is going on.

AI is dismantling Genpact’s services-focused business model. The result is a toxic work environment with a dying culture: fear of layoffs, unclear goals, constant turnover, and remaining employees absorbing multiple roles as colleagues are fired or leave.
