Pros

The company transport system known as "Wheels".This was the only efficient efficient process.But I heard they have outsourced that completely to a vendor and they now pay Rs 1600 to employees who don't use that. Good for growth if you want to a low earning manager or AVP.

Cons

Lowest pay if you started out here or have been here too long.If you are joining with experience you need to bargain hard. There is no fixed salary structure and you may get your desired remuneration if the process is desperate to fill positions.Be rest assured that the folks who interview you would have no clue about the technology they talk about.Once you are in, any future hike is a mirage and is only based on the time spent and closeness to you manager and not on capabilities. Company promotes you instead of giving hikes.They take pride in the fact that they promote 1 employee a day on an average.There are too many managers and AVPs with low pay scales due to this policy. Company promotes BPO managers and appoints them in Technology processes screwing up any leadership and technology mentoring scope for the team members.The BPO managers call themselves techies based on the fact that they worked in a Outlook or desktop help desk which is considered very techie by BPO standards.You will crave for technology work but will find managers and AVPs in abundance. You will feel misplaced the moment you step in if you are a technology guy since the atmosphere is pure call center like or a B grade college canteen with youngsters (mostly call center folks) running around shouting and screaming. HR policies are mostly BPO centric which means no night shift , weekend or on call allowances. Company does not use basic IT components such as pager alerting for Technology folks who do on call and you need to be in front of your system (especially on weekend nights ) all the time looking for alerts. There is no attendance system in place and you are totally at the mercy of your manager to prove that you were indeed at work on a particular day.If you are close to your manager , you don't need to apply for any leaves taken at all in the leave tracking system. The managers don't have clue about technology since they were former BPO employees and provide no buffer between the client and the engineers.I had joined with an outside experience of around 5 years in a newly formed team and was surprised to find the manager's salary was less than most of the engineers in the team due to skewed HR remuneration policies. A team of 10 will have no less than 4 managers since the company wants to fit it the newly managers created by their "more promotion and less hike" policies.This may work out for the BPO folks well since you can find many 21 year old managers too in the company.This is due to the fact that they tie up with local Universities and hire folks from first year graduation on a 3 day work 3 day college program.This works out as cheap hiring and saves company costs. Employees are eligible for on site opportunities after 18 months of joining at a peanut remuneration of $30-40 a day since most of the call center crowd are dreamy eyed about the US. Six Sigma and Lean are some of the buzz words here used by folks to show off their non-existent capabilities. Work is mostly night shifts (without allowances) due to the US based clients so beware if you have a wife and kids at home.Your social life would go in for a full toss.If you happen to work day ( in case you are very lucky to get such a team ) you will find a deserted look in office since most of the teams work nights. On boarding is a nightmare and you be herded like cattle since the company has walk in practically every week for it BPO operations due to the high attrition rate. Tech folks aren't treated any different from BPO freshers.

AI is dismantling Genpact’s services-focused business model. The result is a toxic work environment with a dying culture: fear of layoffs, unclear goals, constant turnover, and remaining employees absorbing multiple roles as colleagues are fired or leave.
