Pros

Most providers are excellent. The company is very provider focused offering a lot of support to therapists, physicians, and advance practice providers. Most employees truly care about patients, their mental health, and interact with patients showing compassion. Benefits are average. The company has a mission and values.

Cons

Anytime a company solicits "happy, new" employees to write good reviews on job sites like GD, you should be cautious. That is what this company does. The saying goes: "If it sounds too good to be true, it usually/probably is." First, Geode is a start up (disorganized, poor communication - frequency, mode, style, lean/understaffed management, undefined processes); no formal, annual performance evaluations, no standard, annual merit review process (you MIGHT get a cost of living adjustment, but not guaranteed). The same support shown to providers is not extended to other employees - staff or middle management. Pay and duties are not equitable or competitive across the company. High management turnover - the company runs middle management completely into the ground and they always quit within 6 months. Sometimes it's hard to wrap one's head around the fact that it is actually a mental health medical company, especially when I think about how stressed out as many employees are. Culture - punitive: if you are honest, you will get "black listed" or tagged as "difficult" by higher ups because they don't want to hear the truth or don't care. The higher ups have favorites, are gossipy, and hardly ever operate in the spirit of the company's core values - there is no accountability for them. There is no growth unless you are a favorite, fake/dishonest, and/or went to a fancy, ivy league school. Leaders are messy and gossipy, not keeping certain conversations confidential and demonstrate an overall lack professionalism - For example, they facilitate meetings and send unflattering messages back and forth on Teams to each other about the people they are currently meeting with, to the extent that they are not even engaged in the conversation, Lack of transparency in pay (non-provider bonus) and responsibilities based on job classes. Deceitful, unscrupulous, leadership that take no ownership for their mess ups and have zero respect for others' time. There is a lot more I could say but won't. I do not and cannot recommend this as a good employer or good place to work.

Pros

Flexibility and good mission. Management really understands that life can happen and you can tell balance is very important to them and in turn it trickles to employees. Geode not only prioritizes patients but also employees. I think it is a really good place to work!

Cons

I don't love all the benefit offerings. It would be nice to have more holidays off and mental health days built in. I would like to see an improved maternity leave policy. Also, they could do better with company culture. There are creative ways to do so being hybrid/virtual. I would like to see them emphasize that.

Pros

Good benefits Opportunity for growth

Cons

High stress Little support Worked for them for 6 years, and they terminated me because “my position was eliminated” and i had “performance issues”. I was a department manager and was never spoken to about performance issues. BS excuses.
