Pros
Great "community" feel to working here. The people are nice (some unnecessary office politics that occasionally get in the way, but nothing major). A very supportive employer that promotes work-life balance, enjoyment in your work, and career development opportunities. Free tuition too is nice. I got my master's for free while working here.
Cons
Human Resources at GW is the WORST! They are pretty incompetent. I have switched over some of my benefits to my husband's benefit plan at his company, just to avoid the hassle of dealing with GW HR. Also, for the law school, there are some pretty good positions that pay well for non-law degree professionals. But if you don't have a law degree, you can quickly max out your growth potential within the law school. If you have a J.D. degree, you can move up to higher-level positions if you prove you're worth it. Otherwise, you get to a certain position and that's as high as you're going to go.
