Pros

After 2 years, the university gives you 4% matching into a 401-b account even if you contribute 0% to your 401k. every % you do contribute, is matched x 1.5, up to 6%. So, I can contribute 4% to my 401k and the university gives me 4% + 6% free money. Also, 90% of tuition is free. All undergraduate programs, non-degree seeking students, and the majority of grad programs fall under this 90% tuition remission policy. Whether you are a research assistant, UPD officer, or housekeeper - you receive equal tuition benefits.

Cons

GW has a tendency to under-staff whenever possible. If you can handle juggling three full-time jobs for 2-3 months after a colleague leaves, you will find yourself still doing all those jobs 4 years down the line. Upward mobility is extremely limited. After you enter an entry level position, there is rarely a chance to move-up.
