Pros
Georgetown has a fantastic community, full of professors, competent staff, and caring people. The main reason to work here is to take advantage of the tuition benefit, which now takes two years of full-time work to earn. If you are not using the tuition benefit, there is no reason to work here. The salary is just too low. Benefits are also outstanding (retirement and health care).
Cons
Pay is low and advancement opportunities, if they materialize, take a long time. Also, the tuition benefit, which is the whole reason to work here, is hard to use because the pay is so low, and graduate tuition is counted as taxable income.
