Run Away, do not just walk. - Teacher Georgia Cyber Academy Employee Review

Pros

I suppose stay at home moms would find it appealing, as somewhat flexible. Other teachers, once you locate them, are extremely friendly and helpful.

Cons

Significantly underpaid ...below state rate and forget any local supplement. You will work your but off to meet unrealistic deadlines. You don't teach. You run Excel reports of students that are mostly unengaged in an attempt to differentiate instruction and develop Individual Learning Plans to simply justify your job. You are expected to actively participate in the IEP process by taking minutes for the SpEd case manager. I stayed for the 15/16 SY as a commitment to the very few students I had that were great kids.
