Pros
Great clientele Free Clinical Supervision Great coworkers
Cons
You are not a contract employee yet they expect you to use your own computer and telephone with no reimbursement. Mileage rates are less than 20 cents per mile and mileage is not given if your client does not show up. Pay is based on productivity which reflects the participation level of the most ill and lowest resourced people in our communities. Employees are asked to attend unpaid trainings often in other cities with no mileage reimbursement, so basically you are not just working for free you are actually paying to work. Clinical managers are sometimes Bachelor's level yet make clinical decisions for Master's level therapists and caseloads. Clients suffer because they receive a new clinician on an average of every 6-18 months due to high turnover rate. Rarely does anyone stay after licensure is obtained. Pay is much lower than other agencies I have worked for yet they will say it is "competitive". The only people who stay in this company are those who move up to management and have to recruit people to work in these conditions.
