Pros

Georgia Tech has a well-deserved reputation for being a great school. Working around the best and brightest students is a treat. The energy and diversity on campus are wonderful.

Cons

Surprisingly, GT has poor technology for staff members. Many silos on campus keep people apart, and prevent good communications. Professors have a well-defines career path, but no one else at GT does - the professional development classes are a mixed bag: some are good, but some are outdated and not a good use of time. The benefits package is complex and difficult to understand. It was difficult to get anyone in HR to answer questions - they usually refer questions to a website.

Pros

- Free Housing - Meal Plan - One of the better on campus job for students in my opinion (still able to be involved in other activities as a student on campus)

Cons

- Duty part of the job (Being on call and getting late night lock outs but this is rare), and definitely can still do homework in between doing duty rounds - experience can also depend on your hall director / area (but regardless still served on great RA teams, can be great if you have a co-ra but also been good at time being a single RA on the floor (no need to coordinate schedule if you do events together as a single RA unless you alternate events with your co)
