Pros

- Two weeks of paid vacation a year, decent for a graduate student - Research assistant monthly pay is about $500 more than teaching assistant monthly pay. Either way, the stipend alone is not enough to cover rent and living expenses in Atlanta unless you opt to room with someone

Cons

- Fees are ridiculous (>$600 per semester, including the summer semester) and cannot be waived - Health insurance costs $100 per month and has a high deductible (~$6000)

Pros

- Free Housing - Meal Plan - One of the better on campus job for students in my opinion (still able to be involved in other activities as a student on campus)

Cons

- Duty part of the job (Being on call and getting late night lock outs but this is rare), and definitely can still do homework in between doing duty rounds - experience can also depend on your hall director / area (but regardless still served on great RA teams, can be great if you have a co-ra but also been good at time being a single RA on the floor (no need to coordinate schedule if you do events together as a single RA unless you alternate events with your co)
