Many people within GTRI genuinely care about their work and are passionate about supporting Georgia Tech’s larger mission. Stable environment- Being part of a long-standing research institute, there is a degree of institutional stability and predictable structure that many may appreciate if they value routine and security.
Cons
Rigid culture and bureaucracy Processes were overly bureaucratic, with decisions often being made far above the people most affected. This rigidity left little room for addressing concerns in a fair or timely manner. Accountability and fairness concerns There were times when accountability was not applied evenly across the board. I experienced a situation where decisions about my role and termination felt more political than performance-based, which was both discouraging and disheartening.
