Pros
Salaries are decent (at least initially). Benefits are very good, medical, dental, vision, 401k. Many projects are challenging and unique. There are some technically brilliant people in the company.
Cons
-The performance review process is a sham. In reality, there is very little feedback from management and performance isn't noticed. -The vast majority of employees are salaried and work very hard (60+ billable hour weeks are the norm). Every billable hour over 36 in a week is pure profit for Geosyntec, but employees are not rewarded with meaningful bonuses, promotions, or raises. -Poor performance on the part of those within the inner circle is rewarded. -Management is disrespectful, dishonest, often incompetant, and has a tendancy to cover their own inadequacies by sacking the junior level staff that they should be mentoring and training. -The work environment is more adversarial than collaborative. -Human resources inquiries into management issues have resulted in the sacking of the plaintifs in the past.
