Could get with the times a little. Also, they could stop being so cheap. - Anonymous employee Getty Images Employee Review

Pros

Getty Images really loves to take care of its people when it comes to benefits -- which is really the best thing about the place. A very generous health benefits package and a pretty good 401(k) plan are waved in front of you, so you don't have much to shake a stick at. The other good thing about the place are the other employees in the trenches with you. You're all going through the same thing, which is trying to avoid the annual layoff. If you do avoid a layoff, then you'll generally be happy. They have a game area, soda and coffee, and weekly bagels. Just go in and do your stuff and you won't be bothered.

Cons

For such a huge company, they really love to try and save money, and that's by laying off employees almost annually. It always get tense at the end of the year since they like to do it around the holidays. You know, that way they have an excess of money by the time the first quarter of the new year rolls around. Also, for such a large company that likes to say they innovate, they have zero presence online and in social media. They're way behind the times when it comes to innovation. Right now, they're scared of a couple of online image houses because they know how to speak to customers, and those companies offer much better prices for the same kind of thing Getty offers. The Getty Images Goliath will never fall to the numerous Davids out there, but those Davids are having a ball nipping at Getty's heels.

Pros

WFH, good overall culture. Good people.

Cons

Leadership has been slow to stay current and modern in the workplace. The business is straddled with debt from a pervious investment company that had bought Getty and gutted it. Future is uncertain.
