Pros

Getty Images has an important mission: bringing the highest quality creative and editorial content, the latter particularly important in these times, to our customers and everyone who works at Getty has a part in that. Not only does that play into the length of time people invest in Getty, but so do the company culture, sense of purpose, and the investment in diversity and inclusion. There’s a real sense of belonging and as a result, many are not just coworkers. Lasting friendships are created outside of work too.

Cons

Getty’s data infrastructure and related tools are rapidly improving to meet the organization’s needs, but it is a work in progress. Consider the current state an opportunity for improvement that you might personally be involved in rather than one which can meet all analyst or data science needs, whether through tools or performance, at the moment. In addition while Getty is actively working on opportunities for career growth and the creation of potential career tracks, don’t necessarily expect title changes every few years as might be seen elsewhere.

Hi there. Thank you so much for posting a review, and for your contributions over the past 9+ years that you have spent with us. There are events unfolding all around the world that are shocking, inspiring, devastating, monumental, history-making, and nevertheless, impactful. It is our mission to Move the World and provide coverage of this content to our customers. With this immense responsibility to the public comes an additional responsibility to our employees. We work hard to cultivate a culture that is inclusive of different voices, perspectives, and experiences and that provides opportunities for every single person, despite locale, tenure, or status. It is heartwarming that you have built lasting friendships and feel changed for working at this company. In addition, I do want to emphasize that there is always room for improvement and growth, and to your point one of these key areas is our data infrastructure. We continue to prioritize development in this area and will invest in key areas to remain competitive. In tandem is the investment to our employee's growth, which is a core goal for our Human Resources team in 2022 as we built out career progression ladders for every team and function. There is plenty of exciting work ahead and we are so glad to have you on this journey with us! Thank you and take care.

Pros

WFH, good overall culture. Good people.

Cons

Leadership has been slow to stay current and modern in the workplace. The business is straddled with debt from a pervious investment company that had bought Getty and gutted it. Future is uncertain.
