Pros

Pay is ok and Health benefits are good, 401k matches but not very much. Nice coworkers and some nice customers too!

Cons

Be prepared to be a worker and a manager and cart person and whatever other job they throw on you, and expect them to want everything done and done perfectly even though it would take multiple more employs to even make that happen. The more you try to get done the more they will put on you and they wont stop even when you are not accomplishing everything. If you genuinely care about meeting their goals then expect to do the work of 2-3 people maybe more. oh and don't think that they will pay you more, the yearly raises range from iffy to just insulting. You will hardly ever get a thank you it's always just them telling you whats wrong. They love changing and adding new things constantly for you to try to get done, even though you already can't get everything that is expected done. most of management has a screw it attitude toward any of these concerns. I hear that all of their stores are extremely understaffed, which makes the employees miserable which in return effects work quality which effects sales. It all went downhill after the father retired and his daughter took over....

Pros

Generally a good group of people. Work itself isn't terribly hard. Insurance is nice however, the pay is poverty wages,

Cons

Pay is called "competitive" It's competitive in the sense they pay dollars less than their competitors. You will be working solo mostly. There is zero payoff for doing a good job. Raises exist once a year set by union. These raises do not keep up with inflation. ALL PRODUCTS ARE 15-30% more expensive than other stores. Almost no one can afford to shop here that works here. If they do shop here they are paying between 50 cents to dollars more per item. The store is literally ripping off customers and workers. Work is do'able and can be completed if you bust your butt for a bit. The pay off? None. There's no raise, no bonus, they don't remember it for future raises. Working full time and getting between 370 and 500 a week is not livable. They talk about community helping which they do however its the cheapest way to pretend to care vs paying people who work there in the community more so there would be LESS people in need, No sense of purpose.
