Pros

8 to 5:30 is actually a reality here. Work Pace is easy to medium paced. They lay a lot of emphasis on safety and if you're a salaried employee you get unlimited sick days. nice quiet area where building is situated, subsidized cafe food at office

Cons

Incompetent upper management who has ZERO contact with people of lower staff or entry level/ mid level positions. There is too much politics in terms of who is promoted how they are promoted and about the next steps. Everything is a freaking secret inside this company. The Directors and Sr. Directors are FAR from being leaders... they are not even good managers, they are just day-to-day firefighters who are bogged down by conflicting targets and company missions. The owners are so high up sitting in their ivory towers that they have NO clue as to what is going on down below. They talk all global bullcrap about big issues and the lower level managers are NEVER implementing any of it. Or are simply unable to. This place sucks...do not work here, there is NO concept of positive motivation. Just constant negative feedback all the time that can make you feel like the biggest loser in the world. This company thrives on crushing people's morales.

Pros

Generally a good group of people. Work itself isn't terribly hard. Insurance is nice however, the pay is poverty wages,

Cons

Pay is called "competitive" It's competitive in the sense they pay dollars less than their competitors. You will be working solo mostly. There is zero payoff for doing a good job. Raises exist once a year set by union. These raises do not keep up with inflation. ALL PRODUCTS ARE 15-30% more expensive than other stores. Almost no one can afford to shop here that works here. If they do shop here they are paying between 50 cents to dollars more per item. The store is literally ripping off customers and workers. Work is do'able and can be completed if you bust your butt for a bit. The pay off? None. There's no raise, no bonus, they don't remember it for future raises. Working full time and getting between 370 and 500 a week is not livable. They talk about community helping which they do however its the cheapest way to pretend to care vs paying people who work there in the community more so there would be LESS people in need, No sense of purpose.
