Pros

Great mission - saving lives. Working with hospital partners is amazing.

Cons

Department is run by very long-term director who is, in a word, a bully. Loves everyone at first. Then eventually turns on everyone. Not supportive to anyone besides the weakest staff members, and undermines the talented staff. Hard to know why. Entire department just tries to stay under radar and stay out of "doghouse" position. Same projects and priorities come up every year with no ability to implement solutions. It often feels like we were just pawns moved around to make director look good to her boss. Outcomes were just ok at best. This is a department of people who are treated like assets/heros at their hospitals, but like they are incompetant at the office. Clinical staff are treated much better than our department.

Pros

The work was purpose driven. At the end of your call days, you have the satisfaction that you potentially helped save someone's life and restored hope in a family.

Cons

The call days are long and depending on case can be extended

Pros

The best part of this company is the incredible coworkers. The team is made up of some of the hardest-working, most dedicated individuals who truly go above and beyond. Despite the challenges, they support one another, collaborate effectively, and create a sense of camaraderie that makes the workplace more bearable. Their work ethic and commitment are truly the company’s greatest asset.

Cons

Leadership fosters a toxic work environment built on fear rather than trust. Employees are met with threats and punitive actions instead of support and guidance. Asking for clarity is discouraged and often results in retaliation. PTO is not respected—leadership views time off negatively and unfairly deducts hours to deplete earned PTO more quickly, limiting employees’ ability to take time off. Workloads and responsibilities continue to increase without additional compensation, while leadership remains opaque, unaccountable, and lacking in empathy. This is not a sustainable or supportive workplace.
