Pros
Working with families on the worst days of their lives and knowing you were able to help make a difference by creating a legacy for them / their family members. Also, knowing that when you went home lives were still being saved.
Cons
Since the previous CEO retired things have taken a terrible turn. The previous director of transplant coordination was promoted to Chief Clinical Officer and is not qualified. Another staff member who was barely present the last several years was also promoter to a Chief officer position. Many management positions have changed of which the staff is extremely upset by and also the number of organ donors is drastically lower this year then last. The fear is that this new leadership group may be running this well known successful OPO into the ground.
