Pros

Occasionally serve good Indian food

Cons

The culture is toxic, and favoritism is rampant. There is deep segregation between permanent employees and contractors. You know you are ranked, especially during events where contractors must pay for their food. Contractors are either given mundane low-level tasks or extremely complicated assignments not aligned to their skill set, a sure setup for failure, and an arrogant HR department, whose employees are out of touch to enforce real working policies. Lots of backstabbers hired and promoted by their management friend. The company lost extremely talented employees and bright, hard-working contractors who left without a chance to be part of the organization.

Pros

Meaningful, mission-driven work with the opportunity to contribute to projects that can have a real impact on patients. Colleagues are highly knowledgeable, supportive, and generally willing to provide mentorship. Gilead also offers strong resources, exposure to different functions within the pharmaceutical industry, and opportunities to work on high-visibility projects.

Cons

Cons: As with many large companies, decision-making and project approvals can sometimes move slowly because of multiple layers of review. The experience may also vary depending on the specific team and manager, and the number of meetings and internal processes can occasionally feel cumbersome.
