Pros
Being away from the shop and in charge of your day, lots of PTO, overtime, easy going coworkers, modern well maintained vehicles, air conditioned and clean shop, great when left alone
Cons
The pay is laughable for driving over a thousand miles every week in all weather conditions, no room for growth (supervisor told me being a driver was a dead end in my yearly review), pay raises are abysmal and sometimes people don't even get one, some management is completely clueless yet walk around making changes without consulting with the people that actually know what they're doing, huge turnover rate, senority means nothing, some days you're stuck in the shop just doing busy work for 8 hours, management is constantly doing sneaky manipulative practices to get you to do more work for no more pay
