      The best of IFT (still IFT nonsense, tho) - Paramedic Global Medical Response Employee Review

      Pros

      As good as it gets for IFT: minimal IFT BS, ALS personnel actually used for ALS. They have a lot of ALS provider churn, so they're encouraged to be halfway reasonable. Best IFT pay in Austin with bonuses for high-call volume. Ok trucks/equipment: not the best, not the worst.

      Cons

      Lots of EMT-Bs supervising medics. Many of the medics don't have a gram of 911 field experience. Still a few very small, sad people in positions of authority. Internal dispatch sucks, plays favorites and dispatches calls poorly under best of circumstances.

      Pros

      I love working at Global Medical Response. My coworkers and leadership team make the job fun. Our Teams' main focus is on our members, patient care, and providing the best customer service. I really enjoy being on this team and I thank God every day for blessing me with this job opportunity. My job and the company I work for have changed my life. This company has put families and our safety first. We have the tools we need to complete daily tasks and there is not one thing that I could think of that our teams could do to make our jobs better. Friendly faces, positive environment, safety, pay
