Pros

The people you work with are great, knowledgeable, and willing to help. Your encouraged to ask questions. Good location in the Baltimore area. Developed a good sense of the corporate world there. Really great benefits and a 401K match.

Cons

Laying off people- the company has been cut in half in the US because of a center that opened overseas. Upper management is pretty distant, and the chain of hierarchy is prevalent.

Pros

Hands-On Experience with Modern Infrastructure Friendly and Supportive Culture Great Resume Builder Work-Life Balance If you value a supportive team culture, a manageable workload, and building high-scale professional project experience, a Global Payments internship is a fantastic stepping stone, especially for launching a career in FinTech or platform engineering.

Cons

Uncertainty Around Full-Time Pipeline Varying Tech Stacks by Team: Because the company encompasses many different product lines and acquired systems, your experience can vary wildly depending on the specific team you land on. Some teams work on cutting-edge, next-gen cloud platforms, while others are tasked with maintaining or upgrading older legacy architectures.
