Pros
Because Global Payments has a tough time merging acquisitions, you have some autonomy in the section where you work. The company is large and has a lot of money, so they are more willing to upgrade your equipment or send you to conferences (if requested by your manager). My direct managers are awesome and have my best interests at heart.
Cons
Getting things done across teams is nearly impossible. There is no consistent leadership and many different cultures that are incompatible with no leadership in place to settle political differences. Much of leadership is tactical instead of strategic which causes them to be in the way of getting things out to customers. There are many people that have worked at the company for 15+ years, which makes many resistant to change and behind the times in best practices for making and releasing software.
