Pros
There are a lot of perks and benefits to keep you eagerly showing up everyday. You have to be tolerant to new people, ideas, and ways of living, but if you are the work-place community is great.
Cons
You get taught the basics and basically told you aren't gonna know what you're doing for the first several months that you work there and you're reminded of it constantly throughout the day. The issue is your troubleshooting software that the people selling it 9 times out of 10 set you up for failure with. They oversell what the software can do, or the software is unable to do basic things like offer a mobile version which can be very upsetting to those that you talk to on the phone. The people that sell the software fail to educate themselves on or communicate clearly what the limitations of HRPOS and HRETAILPOS are. The job is more like a customer support agent dealing with upset customers than it is actually helping people fix things. They also harp on promotion from within, but the reality at Global right now is the only job that's safe from layoffs and the chopping block is the front line tech support agent. They preach doing two years and moving up, but a lot of those people that move up just get laid off immediately after bc of budget cuts.
