Pros
Not many at this point - they are driving a lot of really good talent away.
Cons
“Interim CIO” has been extremely bad. Having been lead by many exceptional CIOs, this has been the worst yet. Unfortunately, he struggles with setting and executing a clear IT strategy, which led to frequent misalignments with broader company objectives. Under his leadership, key tech initiatives often stalled due to a lack of direction and poor resource management, impacting the company’s competitive edge. His actions are clearly motivated by his financial gain vs what’s best for the company. Communication gaps were also apparent; stakeholders across departments often find it difficult to get timely updates or support on critical projects. Additionally, his lack of forward-thinking innovation left the company reacting to trends rather than setting them, putting us at a disadvantage in the fast-moving tech landscape. Clear lack of understanding our tech stack and advocating for chances in technology that will cripple the business. Lots of leaders in technology have lost faith.
