Pros

With new direction comes new career opportunities or new learning on the job. Started to do more social selling for instance. Our latest product and content innovation is being very well received by my customers. Some have even renewed for 3 years as they believe in our vision and our ability to execute. It seems the most difficult in behind us. Being able to do work that has positive impact on the world! We just received our company survey results and again, our identity, our mission, our leaders came with high scores. This company is special because of its people. Because of what we want to achieve, people are collaborating and willing to help each other. I think this is why people who leave have a hard time detaching from it.

Cons

If you are looking for a 9 to 5 jobs, this is not it. This is a global team with collaboration at various time of the day. Still some niche of disgruntled employees.

Pros

Very flexible schedule. I'm in the eastern U.S. and heir high demand hours are 5am to 11 am... if you work during this time, you'll get a nice full schedule. But since they have students from all around the world, you can get hours all throughout the day into the evening with no problem. It's very flexible, you don't have to stick to a rigid lesson plan. You "coach" the student along in their activities, encouraging them and helping them with difficulties along the way. You address their English needs such as an English presentation they are working on or an email they need help with. Or, if they want, you practice business small talk. I really like the flexibility. They have recently merged with Learnship so we'll see what changes come along.... but so far, so good!

Cons

I have gaps in my schedule, which I'm not paid for and I'm not crazy about the fact that if students cancel more than 6 hrs before their class, I don't get paid. I'd prefer for it to be 12 hours. But, that unpredictability is to be expected in this line of work. Oh, and this isn't a problem for me, but it should be noted that they don't offer health insurance that I'm aware of.
