Very political, with rewards going to the popular, not the hard working - Principal Process Engineer GlobalFoundries Employee Review

Pros

Working at home is an option for many

Cons

The review process is a joke. The common phrase around the building is "the harder you work, the harder they kick you in the nuts." There are chances to grow within the organization, but first dibs go towards the friendly people that spend more time chumming it up with their boss than people that do the actual work. Things aren't as horrible as they were during startup, but they will never be as good as the more popular companies such as Intel or AMD. But I guess it's better than working for TSMC, because they only yell at you half the time.

Pros

Very supportive team and management to work with from the beginning. Many training classes need to be taken in moving forward to align with the company policies and technical procedures. Good benefits and competitive salary. Have a very positive plan for long term career and educational support tuition. The interview and hiring process are long but informative and responded promptly.

Cons

There are many training classes to take so it may put more stress on a new hire if you do not have a good plan.

Pros

Everyone is willing to help and the training is actually good training

Cons

If I didn’t know someone that worked since I was going to overnights I didn’t really meet anyone on my team except my manager once. Also I wouldn’t know who to reach out like manger wise if I didn’t know someone who already worked here
