Pros

-generally less stress compare to Taiwanese company

Cons

-upper management created new system that require double job, extremely slow system and come with bugs. Module manager know the issue but no one got guts to feedback. end up the worker in lower level suffer all the pain. -management enjoy meeting culture, very unproductive. -experience got no value in term of salary pay. Fresh graduates who got no experience is getting similar pay as experience one. The work loads are all goes to senior guy as junior guy don't know how to do. A colleague of mine stay long more than 10+ years, she is now a process lead, but getting lower pay than a fresh graduate.

Pros

The people at GF are kind and knowledgeable.

Cons

As an intern, projects can be slow to uptake if tools are down. Always ask around for other jobs/tasks when your own project cannot progress.

Pros

Real project ownership — you're trusted with work that impacts the business, not just busy work. Strong mentorship and support from experienced engineers and leaders. Exposure to cutting-edge semiconductor manufacturing and technology. Plenty of networking opportunities with interns, managers, executives, and cross-functional teams. Professional development through training sessions, workshops, and leadership events. Fun intern community with social events, tours, challenges, and networking activities. Great opportunity to explore different career paths within a large global company.

Cons

The learning curve can be steep, especially if you're new to semiconductors. Large-company processes and approvals can sometimes move slowly. Manufacturing environments can be fast-paced and dependent on production schedules. Some projects may be too large to fully complete within a single summer.
