Pros
Great benefits, 401k match, the pay is also pretty good. Also the job is pretty stable as you don't have to worry about getting laid off. There are great people who are passionate and dedicated to their work and can help you do your job better. Also, there are lots of departments within the company to move to IF, people like you enough.
Cons
Upper management is clueless. They focus more on the credit Union's public image rather than how effective or efficient their services are. The systems are severely outdated which gives you more work, than you feel you get paid for. There is very high turnover due to extreme micromanaging, instead of creating achievable goals and a great incentive plan to motivate people to work harder. There are huge silos between departments with departments that are supposed to work closely together actually arguing with each other. Worst of all there is a massive blame culture within the culture. The company doesn't train employees well then throws everyone under the bus when things go wrong, rather than focusing on solutions, systems, education and training so that employees have the knowledge and tools to do the job well. Changes in procedure are never communicated in a timely manner and when they are implemented it is done in the most disorganized way. When employees, are unable to do things effectively, due to this disorganization, they get written up. It's almost as if you are set up for failure from the beginning. Also, there are extreme politics and favoritism within this organization. This can stifle or even stop your career advancement.
