Pros

Great brand, great marketing organization, really really down-to-earth lawyers with common sense and commercial sense, very open-minded, technical leaders in cutting-edge VC, PE, tech, e-commerce practices. Run circles around their competitors in Silicon Valley, for example.

Cons

Functional heads of HR, Recruitment, IT, Payroll, Services, Training, etc are suspicious, narrow 'old guard' Bostonians who lack basic people skills, know nothing about operating within a global law firm or managing daily to a market-leading level inclusive of a global footprint and mixed cultures. They personally, steadfastly stifle all and any changes, ideas or improvements that they don't comprehend or that don't involve Boston (which is most) and that would advance the firm to next level. It is really holding Goodwin back.

Pros

Support staff has been fantastic for career development. Wonderful people to work with and I feel that it has been challenging in a motivational way to keep me developing my skillset.

Cons

I do think that I'm being slightly underpaid but the benefits of working here outweigh that.
