Pros

Pay is decent, good communication of new programs and goals .

Cons

Poor leadership, lack of concern for employees well being, goals change almost weekly, bonus program changed frequently to make it almost impossible to earn, employees are laid off at the slightest hint of a downturn in sales, unrealistic expectations of what it take to run a retail location, management has no automotive retail knowledge, middle management is hired from outside the company instead of promoted from within, input from retail staff is ignored, new programs are poorly rolled out, raises are few and far between if at all, buildings and equipment are allowed to fall into a state of disrepair due to a lack of a repair/upkeep budget.

Pros

A lot of good people who do genuinely care. Good pay and benefits.

Cons

Sadly Goodyear is a declining company. The new C-suite talked a big game but company performance speaks otherwise. Market share/volume is declining quarter over quarter and the stock price is being killed. Many long tenured and loyal Goodyear employees have been laid off due to job outsourcing or plan closures. Before taking a job at Goodyear make sure to do your own research on the future of the company. Sadly for such a long and storied brand the future does seem bleak. Death by a thousand cuts….
