Pros

Opportunity to learn a trade/management after college

Cons

There were only 3 other women in the whole area that were managers when I worked, it was a good old boys network where women weren't paid the same and had to work twice as hard to prove our worth. Territory managers didn't come around that much and weren't very helpful and lazy, while you work 70 hrs plus a week for 6 days. Spiffs and bonuses will good for a awhile, but i agree that cOSTCO AND OTHER COMPETITION like America's tires have definitely taken a bite out of business . Their stock is only $14.00 right now. I would not recommend this company to work for anymore, they have seen better days in the 1990's and before.

Pros

A lot of good people who do genuinely care. Good pay and benefits.

Cons

Sadly Goodyear is a declining company. The new C-suite talked a big game but company performance speaks otherwise. Market share/volume is declining quarter over quarter and the stock price is being killed. Many long tenured and loyal Goodyear employees have been laid off due to job outsourcing or plan closures. Before taking a job at Goodyear make sure to do your own research on the future of the company. Sadly for such a long and storied brand the future does seem bleak. Death by a thousand cuts….
