Pros
In any privately held company, your work experience ultimately flows from the owner. Gorbel's owner is phenomenal. Honest, caring about people, committed to quality, and prioritizes product development and reinvestment in the company over personal financial gain. It is such a pleasure to work at a growing healthy company in terms of sales and products. As long as you perform well, care about the customer, and help and respect your co-workers, you can have a job here for a long long time. Even though upward mobility is not always possible in the short term, there are a ton of ways to learn and grow and make a difference within your current job. Employee input is very valued and I feel safe and appreciated asking questions and giving my opinions.
Cons
There is lots of technology available, but not all the technology that would enhance productivity has been invested in. This can be frustrating at times, but honestly would probably happen almost anywhere I worked. This one "con" is far outweighed by the "pros."
