Pros
In a sales role at Goway, you are trained to become a “destination expert” and while it can take some time to learn everything about a region of the world, it’s really rewarding to know your stuff and create amazing vacations for people. The range of product (mostly long-haul) to sell keeps the job interesting. You’re never going to be selling a boring all inclusive vacation over and over again. Hosted FAM trips are available if you’re hitting your target or showing great potential and this does not come out of your vacation time. Goway’s a family run business, so you will meet the owner. Sharing ideas, or recommending ways to improve the company are encouraged. People in the office are friendly and many have worked here a long time, showing that many people have chosen to make Goway their career.
Cons
In sales, you’re always going to have a bad month, especially if you’re on vacation or out of the office, and this affects your paycheck. In saying that, the company rewards your performance, and there is no commission cap. It takes time to learn it all in the beginning, especially if you're new to the industry and to feel confident in what you’re doing. Air/GDS can be the most difficult to learn if you have no experience. You will likely need to do extra self learning on your own time.
