Grange has been in decline since 2015. The senior leaders are all transplants from the finance sector. They have No idea how to grow an insurance company. Their accomplishments are selling off the bank, the credit union, the print shop, and the life insurance company. They’ve borrowed $200M, took away company phones, cut training budgets, withdrew from several states, outsourced hundreds of Ohio jobs, shifted costs to the associates, implemented a toxic culture, and quietly moved ALL company policies to 100% for stock companies. They can sell the whole book of business now with little or no employee notice. There is no upward mobility. The good jobs are always filled from the outside. They fire people who ask questions and they dont think twice about asking you to regularly work outside of your profession. If this sounds like a fun place to earn a paycheck, then Grange is for you. If it doesn’t and you want stability or you want a career friendly place to work, then this is not the place for you.
