Pros

You'll meet a lot of new people.

Cons

Upper management needs to show more love for lower level employees. PTO and sick time are VERY regulated with no exceptions. Monday morning all hands meetings are long, unnecessary, and lowers the morale. Hale focuses heavily on numbers and creates the illusion of a high level culture within the organization. This is done by promoting and advertising events and donations with media organizations and social media. I'd be pressed to find a picture online of Granite that isn't promoting a donation of some kind. The commute is bad, and the parking lot is a nightmare. There is one non-private bathroom for about 200 people on one floor. Dress code, button up and tie, is completely unnecessary.

Pros

No pros what so ever.

Cons

This company and specifically the collections department have very little opportunity for growth, despite what may be promised during the hiring process. Honestly, it’s a circus. Non stop tasks are thrown at employees each day. And Goals are constantly increased so analyst can’t reach them. Employees who work hard and consistently perform well often find themselves stuck in the same position with no clear path for advancement. Promotions and opportunities never appear to be based on performance or merit. Management is one of the biggest issues. They have no clue. Favoritism is prevalent, and certain employees seem to receive special treatment, better opportunities, and more support than others. This creates a frustrating and discouraging work environment where many employees feel undervalued and overlooked. Morale suffers when performance and dedication are overlooked in favor of personal relationships and when there is little accountability for management and no transparency regarding career development. Communication from leadership is lacking, and employee concerns are not addressed. Management gets defensive when employees ask questions or disagree with their stupid decisions. Overall, it can be a VERY challenging place to build a longterm career if you are looking for fair treatment, professional growth, and strong leadership. Turnover rate is very high. Also, micro management is at an all time high. Would not even recommend this place to a college grad for entry level experience, if i could Put 0 stars, i would. For the sake of your mental health, stay far away.
