Good Stepping Stone Company - Payroll Granite Telecommunications Employee Review

Pros

Similar aged coworkers and a multitude of free company rec leagues (bowling, softball, basketball, cross-fit, etc.) Free gym space on location, available 24/7 Can be relatively easy to move around to other positions and departments with hard work Great place to get your foot in the door of the 'working world' and take your experience with you Great experiences working within the Payroll department, but tough experiences outside the payroll team.

Cons

Poor management across most departments due to department heads that turned into paycheck employees who are promoting internal employees with no management skills or experience. Minimal pay raises and bonuses, with no guarantee year to year. Managers will typically look for any reason not to allow you to reach your bonus incentives or pay increases. Any employee with half a brain ends up overworked and underappreciated typically doing their direct managers job for them due to their competence.

Pros

This position is a great opportunity for career growth, continuous learning, and advancement. The Access Team specifically is collaborative, supportive, and highly skilled, creating a positive environment where employees can feel learn, contribute, and succeed. While I may not see this as a long-term position for myself, it offers great opportunities to build experience, develop new skills, and create a strong foundation for future career growth.

Cons

Initially, the workload was manageable and aligned with the team's capacity. However, over time, the volume of work has increased significantly, making it challenging for our current understaffed team to sustain effectively. PLEASE HIRE MORE ACCESS REPS
