Employees are overworked and they don't care if there is a blizzard outside with dangerous road condition, they still force you to come in and work.
Temps are treated like second class citizens and is ignored by both middle and upper management. Temps don't have a day off during their months probation period at Granite, that includes doctors appointment. They hire and fire temps like they are disposable tools.
Speaking about the doctors appointment when I became a permanent employee at this place, I was shocked to find out that employees only get 4 hours per week for doctors appointment and you have to bring a sign doctors note.
A lot of my co-workers and the supervisors are very disgruntle and always stressed dealing with the premier reps and customers that it creates a very negative vibe at the workplace.
Did I mention they are very STRICT about their hours. You start your shift at 8:00 a.m. on the dot, and 8:05 a.m. is considered very late in their book. A girl got fired because she was 10 minutes late for work. I just think they're a bit extreme here.
I'm in the process of looking to get out of this horrible company and go work for a company that doesn't treat it's employees like trash.
If you like a very strict corporate environment, then this place is for you.
