Pros

At a global level, its terrific to work for a company that gives so much back to the community. the Charitable contributions given by the employees is nothing less than admirable, and the added benefit of sponsoring it's employees through various sports teams and personal activities helps build strong interdepartmental relationships and strengthens communication within the company. At a personal level - Granite IT department has provided me with commending leadership and necessary tools for me to become the professional i strive to be each and every day. I'm honored to work with the people who surround me, the people who push me, and motivate me to push myself. To be able to work such hands on management and some of the smartest people i have ever met is a tremendous opportunity that I'm thankful for every day

Cons

unable to work from home, lack of communication across departments (improving), goals/bonuses are basically impossible to obtain 100%

Pros

No pros what so ever.

Cons

This company and specifically the collections department have very little opportunity for growth, despite what may be promised during the hiring process. Honestly, it’s a circus. Non stop tasks are thrown at employees each day. And Goals are constantly increased so analyst can’t reach them. Employees who work hard and consistently perform well often find themselves stuck in the same position with no clear path for advancement. Promotions and opportunities never appear to be based on performance or merit. Management is one of the biggest issues. They have no clue. Favoritism is prevalent, and certain employees seem to receive special treatment, better opportunities, and more support than others. This creates a frustrating and discouraging work environment where many employees feel undervalued and overlooked. Morale suffers when performance and dedication are overlooked in favor of personal relationships and when there is little accountability for management and no transparency regarding career development. Communication from leadership is lacking, and employee concerns are not addressed. Management gets defensive when employees ask questions or disagree with their stupid decisions. Overall, it can be a VERY challenging place to build a longterm career if you are looking for fair treatment, professional growth, and strong leadership. Turnover rate is very high. Also, micro management is at an all time high. Would not even recommend this place to a college grad for entry level experience, if i could Put 0 stars, i would. For the sake of your mental health, stay far away.
