Pros

I’ve had an amazing first two years at Granite Telecommunications. From the start, the training was solid, and the team really made me feel like I was part of something special. I came from a sales background prior to my continued time at Granite but was not versed in telecommunications or tech worth a lick. The team caught me up to speed and had me booking new business meetings in the first three weeks. The tools and resources Granite provides have helped me stay organized and close deals, but what I really love is how much the company values building real relationships with clients. The ceiling is VERY high as a sales person at Granite. If you work hard, there really and truly is no ceiling. Overall, what makes Granite is the people. Between morning workouts with the CEO himself and the energy on the sales floor - this is an A+ place to work.

Cons

As a sales professional in tech/ telecommunications it can be challenging at times to win deals as the market is saturated. It is the hardest job I've ever had (love a challenge). If you're not motivated I can see why you wouldn't like this job. (Assess your motivators and values) My drive time is a little long - about an hour and Quincy traffic isn't great.

Pros

No pros what so ever.

Cons

This company and specifically the collections department have very little opportunity for growth, despite what may be promised during the hiring process. Honestly, it’s a circus. Non stop tasks are thrown at employees each day. And Goals are constantly increased so analyst can’t reach them. Employees who work hard and consistently perform well often find themselves stuck in the same position with no clear path for advancement. Promotions and opportunities never appear to be based on performance or merit. Management is one of the biggest issues. They have no clue. Favoritism is prevalent, and certain employees seem to receive special treatment, better opportunities, and more support than others. This creates a frustrating and discouraging work environment where many employees feel undervalued and overlooked. Morale suffers when performance and dedication are overlooked in favor of personal relationships and when there is little accountability for management and no transparency regarding career development. Communication from leadership is lacking, and employee concerns are not addressed. Management gets defensive when employees ask questions or disagree with their stupid decisions. Overall, it can be a VERY challenging place to build a longterm career if you are looking for fair treatment, professional growth, and strong leadership. Turnover rate is very high. Also, micro management is at an all time high. Would not even recommend this place to a college grad for entry level experience, if i could Put 0 stars, i would. For the sake of your mental health, stay far away.
