Pros

- Transparency. Echoing what others have written, Grant Street Group is transparent and forthcoming about decisions and why they're made. Questions are genuinely and frankly responded to, without reprisal. - Dedicated colleagues. You know those people you work with, the ones where you ask yourself every day "How does this person keep their job?" I have never encountered someone like that at Grant Street Group. Without exception, my colleagues are responsive, dedicated, and hard-working. They are also just genuinely nice and fun to be around. - Flexibility and work/life balance. I have never felt pressured to work more than 40 hours a week. I have worked more than 40 hours a week, but I will comp that time some other week. - Communication and feedback. If there's a problem, I know who to talk to and I know that I will be listened to. I am given constructive feedback regularly and feel comfortable giving feedback regularly, regardless of the "seniority" of the person I'm giving feedback to.

Cons

- Fast pace. For some, a high-intensity workplace is ideal, for others, it is not. This is not an organization where you can clock in and watch YouTube videos for a few hours. I personally find this environment exciting and challenging, and that's what I want out of a career, but others may have different priorities and might find this type of environment is not a good fit. - Constant change. Inter-organizational movement is common and rapid. Sometimes this is great, since it gives people a chance to move to a different area where they might be a better fit. Sometimes this is problematic, since employees have to "re-learn" a new subject matter which can slow down projects.

Pros

My coworkers were great to work with

Cons

- Management here is extremely poor, even compared to companies where I had lower workplace satisfaction - Too much pivoting due to poor resource planning + management due to a poorly crafted longitudinal vision - Disingenuous execution of cultural outlook - Feedback is inconsistent and not supported by clear metrics/expectations

Grant Street Group Response
2mo
Response from our President: Thanks for complimenting your co-workers. It is a welcome tribute to our culture. For the past 20 years, Grant Street has sustained an organic, compound annual growth rate exceeding 20%. Surely such an extraordinary track record requires competent management. And, to your point, it requires lots of pivoting to sustain it, which has been and will continue to be possible only by developing what you describe as our newer, “extraordinary frontline staff”.
