Pros

1. Health insurance benefits are great 2. The option to work remotely

Cons

1. Middle management is a significant issue, focusing on micromanagement and self-preservation rather than employee development. (This was mentioned in another review but dismissed by the COE). Advancing or being developed only means doing your leads work. I don’t even know what my lead does. The true definition of a boss and not a lead. 2. Lack of recognition and promotion despite hard work and loyalty. Just the usual pat on the back. 3. Annual raises are minimal and don't keep up with inflation. 5. Complaints about the above mentioned may lead being put on a performance plan. Middle management holds the entire narrative without accountability so they just flip it as a YOU issue. 6. The company's focus on client satisfaction neglects end users' concerns. 7. Upper management's attitude is arrogant. 8. Company growth is not reflected in improving employee benefits and compensation.

Response from our President: Thank you for acknowledging our health benefits and remote work option. To begin, we would like to thank you for your long and loyal service. We were really disappointed to see you go. It will be hard to replace you. With regard to the title of your review "Don't be fooled by the 5 star reviews", we can only assume that those who left those flattering reviews before you were no less sincere in their praise than you in your criticism. In fact, if what you describe were true, I can't imagine anyone would want to work here -- including me. Yet a large number of your former colleagues have remained with us for a decade and more. They are certainly talented and independent enough to find good jobs elsewhere, but they stay -- and write 5-star reviews. Something about their experience at Grant Street is radically different from yours. Obviously, we failed you. And for that we apologize.

Pros

My coworkers were great to work with

Cons

- Management here is extremely poor, even compared to companies where I had lower workplace satisfaction - Too much pivoting due to poor resource planning + management due to a poorly crafted longitudinal vision - Disingenuous execution of cultural outlook - Feedback is inconsistent and not supported by clear metrics/expectations

Response from our President: Thanks for complimenting your co-workers. It is a welcome tribute to our culture. For the past 20 years, Grant Street has sustained an organic, compound annual growth rate exceeding 20%. Surely such an extraordinary track record requires competent management. And, to your point, it requires lots of pivoting to sustain it, which has been and will continue to be possible only by developing what you describe as our newer, “extraordinary frontline staff”.
