Thank you for your feedback, I am extremely proud of the team we have built and appreciate your positive recognition of our CTO and the development team. I appreciate you sharing your experience with us and your feedback has given me some points for reflection. It would be great to have a call or meet for coffee to further explore your experience and go a bit deeper into the feedback you have provided so that we can learn and improve. Please let me know if you are open to this. In response to the points raised in your review, I've gathered some thoughts. It's long, but has felt valuable to me as a chance to reflect: It is unfortunate that you had an unsatisfactory experience working with us. As a CEO building a design and technology led startup, there is a lot to learn & do in a very short period of time. You have raised valid points in our company communication challenges, and we appreciate hearing your perspective on what we can improve within that. As our team grew one of the key hires we have made has been in the talent department with a new talent lead. This will help improve the overall company communication and onboarding experience. The startup environment we have cultivated is a very self-driven one: we do our best to bring in talent from all skill levels, who are ready to work hard and adapt to the current stage of growth we are at. One of the key benefits of working at early stage startups is the potential for uncapped growth and learning, and a key part of our culture is to encourage employees to take ownership and accelerate their professional growth and experience through the challenges presented. We don't believe in the distinction of juniors vs. seniors just by years of experience, as we strive to build a meritocratic environment and believe this distinction should be driven by the ability, speed of growth, and future growth potential of individuals. This helps us move fast and maintain our market lead. It is no secret that we ask the best from each member of our team irrespective of seniority or previous work experience and this type of environment isn't suited for everyone. This being said, its important for us that whatever the outcome, everyone feels respected and that they were held against clear expectations. Your feedback and insights based on your experiences has been a valuable input for reflection, so thank you again for taking the time to pull this together. I wish you all the best in your career going forwards. CEO

Pros

Everyone I have met so far has been a really good person, if not a pleasure to work with. They prioritize getting the job done over following antiquated rules of the traditional workplace. Benefits are nice.

Cons

It is a startup, so information moves fast and it can be a challenge to keep track of what is current. I would say this is typical for the type of company it is.

Pros

- this company has flown me to multiple countries for global gatherings, where the meetings are actually helpful to understand what other teams are working on/towards, and fun excursions are planned for everyone - I’ve been able to make a deep impact at the company right away, because they trust they’ve hired the right people from the beginning, and give you the autonomy to work on your own ideas - the people are all so talented, passionate, and so willing to help wherever needed - they’re genuinely trying to make sure everyone is heard, by doing anonymous feedback surveys every week, having anonymous agendas to input your concerns and have them discussed during CEO open hours (whole company welcome), etc

Cons

- the work is hard. It’s a start up, so they are relying on you to bring your own expertise and constantly push yourself and the company goals forward. It’s not a place for you if you’re not ready to get stuck in - so many growing pains while everyone tries to figure out how to make a company dealing with a brand new technology (VR) palatable to the mass community + scalable as a growing company
