Pros
- this company has flown me to multiple countries for global gatherings, where the meetings are actually helpful to understand what other teams are working on/towards, and fun excursions are planned for everyone - I’ve been able to make a deep impact at the company right away, because they trust they’ve hired the right people from the beginning, and give you the autonomy to work on your own ideas - the people are all so talented, passionate, and so willing to help wherever needed - they’re genuinely trying to make sure everyone is heard, by doing anonymous feedback surveys every week, having anonymous agendas to input your concerns and have them discussed during CEO open hours (whole company welcome), etc
Cons
- the work is hard. It’s a start up, so they are relying on you to bring your own expertise and constantly push yourself and the company goals forward. It’s not a place for you if you’re not ready to get stuck in - so many growing pains while everyone tries to figure out how to make a company dealing with a brand new technology (VR) palatable to the mass community + scalable as a growing company
