Pros

Remote work, good work life balance, interesting products and desire to be better. A lot of smart, hard working women, former teachers, project managers and creatives with a genuine desire to create better products for the classrooms and the kids.

Cons

Leaders don't know how to evolve, they keep being pulled in different directions and by different voices that are only thinking about their egosa and own benefit and not of the whole company. The purpose of the company seems unclear, same as its identity. They are worried about investors and money but never about their workforce who are the ones that produce the good outcomes. While I was there, we had three rounds of layoffs and a lot of teams were decimated therefore given prevalence to the use of outside vendors and protect investors. Brand identity and original vision of the product is dissolving into a generic portrait of a an educational publishing company.
